ANNUAL CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
Aloha Fellow Volunteers:
Welcome new volunteers, as well as returning volunteers. Thank you for volunteering to be a coach, assist coach, team parent/helper, etc. As volunteers there are online certifications that need to be completed annually before team practices can start. Please read through this letter thoroughly and contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions or assistance.
*RISK STATUS: STERLING BACKGROUND CHECK
-Once Registered, you will receive an email from STERLING with a link to start a background check. You will be reimbursed for the $25.00 fee at the end of the season.
-Once you’ve completed the background information and paid the fee, Sterling will email you a confirmation with receipt of $25.00 payment. Keep this for your records.
*You may check the status of your Background Check by logging into your Sterling account under Verified Volunteers and looking in your Profile. Once your background check is completed, Verified Volunteers will send you an email. ONLINE AYSO CERTIFICATION
Start your online courses by logging into your AYSO account and click AYSOU to get to the courses: https://www.ayso818.org/ or https://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region818/
-AYSO Safe Haven
-Concussion Awareness
-Sudden Cardiac Arrest
-Coach Courses: for age division(s) you will be coaching
-Referee Courses: Laws of the Game and age division(s) you will be coaching
-SafeSports: in “My Roles & Certificates” page, click the box and then click “update” at the bottom
Once we receive verification from Sterling that you’ve passed the background check and you’ve completed online courses, you will receive your team roster and may start practices in August.
